Mathieu Darche, who has been practising with the Devils and waiting for a contract offer, is planning a second career in case his hockey playing days in the NHL are over. He is looking to get into hockey management if he can't ink a deal soon. "I had agreed with Devils' GM Lou Lamoriello last week about a date next week that if I wasn't signed I would move on," Darche said. "He [Lou} would love to have me practice there until the trade deadline because if something happens I'm right there and they sign me and I'm ready to play, I know the system, I know the guys. But at one point, I can't keep waiting." Darche was a decent third liner but nothing more and if he does extend his hockey career, he will have little to no fantasy value.
