Mason will man the crease against the Maple Leafs on Friday, Sam Carchidi of The Philadelphia Inquirer reports.
EDGE Analysis
After riding the pine for four games in a row, Mason makes is second consecutive start Friday. Coach Dave Hakstol appears to be favoring extended starting stretches for his two netminders, rather than a more traditional every other format for a split goalie situation. In his nine appearances this season, Mason has posted a 2-4-2 record with a 3.23 GAA, not exactly the type of numbers fantasy owners are looking for in a goaltender. The 28-year-old will be tested often by Toronto, who are averaging a league leading 33.3 shots per game.
