Mason will defend the net Thursday night against the visiting Maple Leafs, Sam Carchidi of The Philadelphia Inquirer reports.
EDGE Analysis
Mason, who will make his 11th straight start, looked sharp against the Wings in Detroit on Wednesday, setting aside 23 of 25 shots, but the Flyers were unable to light the lamp on 30 attempts. Still, the date with the lowly Leafs is quite ideal for Mason and company. The Flyers are currently tied with the Bruins with 91 points in the standings, but they currently have the tie-breaker advantage for the second wild-card spot into the postseason out of the Eastern Conference. Mason will be an attractive fantasy play Thursday, given the juicy matchup and his team having a great reason to give it their all.
