Mason delivered a lukewarm performance in his return from a back injury Monday, stopping 21 of 24 shots in a loss to the Coyotes. The netminder hasn't been nearly as bad as his 6-11-5 record would indicate, as his ratios (2.52 GAA, .919 save percentage) are more in line with the league average. However, with a poor defense and inconsistent offense supporting him, Mason remains best utilized as a streaming play against weaker opponents.
