Mason (knee) practiced with the team during Tuesday's morning skate, but won't be activated from injured reserve ahead of the game later in the evening versus the Hurricanes, Sam Carchidi of the Philadelphia Inquirer reports. Mason met with the media after practice and said that while a return to action Thursday against the Maple Leafs hasn't been ruled out, it's more realistic that he'll be ready to play Saturday versus the Rangers. He'll need to complete another full practice or two before the Flyers confirm his availability.
