Mason (knee) could return as a backup for Tuesday's game against the Hurricanes, Randy Miller of NJ.com reports. The Flyers had earlier reported that Mason wouldn't return for Tuesday's tilt, but the team is now in need of goalie depth after Ray Emery suffered a lower-body injury. He's still not expected to return as a starter until Saturday's game against the Rangers, but it's possible he'll be back with the team in some capacity earlier than that.
