Mason has been pegged for Wednesday's start against the Red Wings in Detroit, Sam Carchidi of the Philadelphia Inquirer reports.
EDGE Analysis
Despite a rocky outing in his last go Sunday against the Penguins, Mason will make his 10th straight start for the Flyers in a crucial matchup with playoff implications. His only other outing versus Detroit this season ended in a victory, but he allowed three goals on 37 shots while doing so. The second time could turn out worse if he gets pelted again, but the Flyers have been playing good hockey of late, winning four of their last six. Mason will oppose Jimmy Howard, but he's been hot of late and the Red Wings haven't surpassed three goals in any of their last five games. The veteran should be deployed normally in season-long leagues and remains an option in daily given the severely limited slate.
