Mason entered Tuesday's game in relief of Ray Emery after Emery allowed two goals on the first four shots he faced, stopping 22 of 23 to lead the Flyers to a comeback and shootout win. A spectacular return for Mason, who'd been playing well before a lower-body injury knocked him out of action for more than two weeks. He wasn't expected to get onto the ice Tuesday, and especially not six minutes into the first period, but Mason was ready to go. He should return to making most of the starts for Philadelphia.
