Martin Erat has been named an alternate captain by the Nashville Predators. The Nashville Predators had a vacancy due to Ryan Suter's departure over the summer. "I take a lot of input from Marty because he's out there and creating things and has some great ideas, and I think he has earned that right," Predators coach Barry Trotz said. Erat is entering his 11th season with the Predators.
