Marner (upper body) has officially been ruled out for Saturday's game against the visiting Senators, Chris Johnston of Sportsnet reports.
EDGE Analysis
Given that he missed Friday's practice, the writing was on the wall that the shifty power-play pivot would miss this next contest. Hopefully, the malady doesn't disrupt Marner's momentum in what has been a phenomenal rookie campaign (48 points -- including 15 on the man advantage -- in 56 games). Teammate Auston Matthews seems to be getting more fanfare than Marner based on the former going No. 1 overall in the 2016 draft, but it's Double M with slightly higher totals; still, both players have been absolute gems in the fantasy landscape. It'll certainly be worth checking back to see if Marner travels to Raleigh for Sunday's game against the Hurricanes.
