Mark Jankowski isn't discouraged that people are rating Sean Monahan and Sam Bennett over him when it comes to the Flames' top center prospects. "I don't really pay attention to that," Jankowski said. "All I know is I'm really excited to be a Flame, and I know the management here is really excited to have me . Since the new management came in, I've had some talks with them, and they made me feel welcome and made me feel like I'm a part of this, like I'm a part of their plan." Jankowski had 13 goals and 25 points in 39 games with Providence College in 2013-14. The Flames took him with the 21st overall pick in the 2012 NHL Entry Draft. He was always regarded as a long-term project and isn't expected to play in the NHL next season.
