Marc Staal is doing well and his eye is OK, according to teammate Dan Girardi. Girardi was appearing a promotion event for the NHL's upcoming Stadium Series event at Yankee Stadium. Girardi said he spoke to Staal recently and apparently received good news. Staal said after the season that he believed his eye would improve over the offseason even if it isn't 100 percent ever again and this seems to support that. Still, it'll be a different animal once he's in training camp and the preseason.
