Marc Staal (eye) could return to the lineup before the end of the regular season, according to Sportsnet's Nick Kypreos. Kypreos says that the Rangers defenseman could be back on the ice within a week to 10 days, rejoining the lineup shortly after. Staal hasn't played since March 5 when he took a deflected shot just above his eye. He has been doing off-ice workouts in recent days.
