Murray (illness) will be activated off injured reserve and start between the pipes in Thursday's home matchup with San Jose, Bruce Garrioch of the Ottawa Sun reports.

The 27-year-old netminder, who went 10-13-1 while posting a 3.38 GAA and an .893 save percentage last year, will attempt to start the 2021-22 campaign off with a win over a Sharks squad that's racked up nine goals while going 2-0-0 to start the season.
