Bertuzzi (back) will be in the lineup for Thursday's preseason game versus Pittsburgh, Helene St. James of the Detroit Free Press reports.
EDGE Analysis
Bertuzzi hasn't played since Jan. 30 due to a back injury, which required offseason surgery, so he'll likely be eased back into things to ensure he doesn't suffer any setbacks. Still, it it appears as though the 26-year-old winger is trending towards being available for Detroit's regular-season opener versus Tampa Bay on Oct. 14. Bertuzzi has racked up 47 goals, 102 points and 280 shots on net in 153 games over the past three campaigns, so he'll be a solid fantasy asset in 2021-22 if he's able to stay healthy. However, he won't be available for any of the Red Wings' games across the Canadian border due to his unvaccinated status, which is something fantasy managers will need to take into account on draft day.
