The 28-year-old has had trouble getting going to begin the season, missing Opening Night as he served out the remainder of a suspension from last season and then getting sidelined for five more contests in late October while in the COVID-19 protocols. In between those absences, Scheifele has managed only four points in eight games, with Saturday's timely tally being his first goal. He's put together at least a point-a-game pace in each of the five prior campaigns, so expect a hot streak out of Scheifele sooner or later that gets him back on track.
