Lindback was waived by the Stars on Wednesday, NHL.com's Mark Stepneski reports. Starting goalie Kari Lehtonen hasn't been great this season, but Lindback was demonstrably worse whenever coach Lindy Ruff called his number. Lindback lost all five of his starts and contributed a 4.63 GAA and .861 save percentage, numbers that led the Stars to determine they had seen enough. Jussi Rynnas was recalled from AHL Texas to take over as the Stars' backup netminder.
