Lindback was the first goalie off the ice and is expected to receive the starting nod Saturday against the Predators, Mike Heika of the Dallas Morning News reports. So long as No. 1 goalie Kari Lehtonen stays relatively healthy this season, Lindback projects to see only minimal usage this season. However, it looks like coach Lindy Ruff will ease Lehtonen into his heavy workload, as he'll get an early-season breather. Lindback is expected to match up against Nashville netminder Pekka Rinne, but don't count on him to deliver impressive results.
