Lindback was released from his professional tryout agreement with AHL Ontario on Thursday, Dhiren Mahiban of The Canadian Press reports.
EDGE Analysis
When Jonathan Quick went down with a long-term groin injury in late October, the Kings brought Lindback in on a PTO with AHL Ontario in an attempt to bolster their depth at goaltender. The team ultimately wasn't in need of the 28-year-old's services in net, and thus decided to cut ties with him Thursday. Lindback will hope to get another offer from an NHL club's AHL affiliate, but may need to head overseas in hopes of continuing his professional hockey career.
