Lindback inked a professional tryout agreement with New Jersey on Friday, Tom Gulitti of NHL.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Lindback finished out the 2015-16 season on injured reserves with an Achilles injury for the Coyotes. With Cory Schneider participating in the World Cup of Hockey, the Devils were lacking netminder depth for training camp. With Keith Kinkaid cemented in the relief role, the 28-year-old Lindback will likely use the tryout to show teams in need of a goalkeeper that he is healthy and could come in as a quality back-up option rather than landing a permanent job with New Jersey.
