Lightning GM Steve Yzerman is still hoping to sign Benoit Pouliot, even though his team didn't present the forward with a qualifying offer. Pouliot's agent is still confident the two sides can get something done. It looks like the price of a qualifying offer was too rich for Tampa Bay, but both sides are still interested in inking a cheaper contract.
