Leipsic has reportedly been selected by the Vegas Golden Knights in the NHL Expansion Draft, Darren Dreger of TSN reports.

Following a distinguished junior career in which he won the WHL scoring title in 2012-13, Leipsic has proven to be one of the AHL's better players over the past three seasons. Leipsic only has six games of NHL experience under his belt, but he should get a shot at regular playing time with Vegas. Leipsic is an undersized (5-foot-9, 165 pounds) energy player with good hands. The odds are against him developing into a top-six forward at the NHL level, but he will finally get a chance to prove his worth with the Golden Knights.
