Leighton has rejoined the Hurricanes after drawing a start with AHL Charlotte on Friday, Chip Alexander of the Raleigh News & Observer reports.

With Eddie Lack remaining on IR with a concussion, Leighton should continue to be the undisputed No. 2 option in goal for the Hurricanes, though that doesn't mean much as Cam Ward has already started 21 out of a possible 27 games so far.
