Larsson (illness) has been diagnosed with the mumps virus, Tom Gulitti of The Record reports. General manager Lou Lamoriello also confirmed that Travis Zajac recently got over the mumps, adding two more players to the growing list of NHLers that have fell victim to the virus. Larsson remains in isolation while he continues to recover from what was initially diagnosed as the flu before he was reevaluated by doctors. The virus has typically run its course in five-to-seven days for players, making it unlikely that Larsson will be cleared to return by the weekend.
