Fox signed a seven-year, $9.5 million AAV extension with the Rangers on Monday.

Fox also leads all Rangers skaters with 24:16 of ice time per game and ranks third on the team with a plus-5 rating. The 23-year-old would've been a restricted free agent after this season but his new contract will now kick in during the 2022-23 season. Fox will be the team's defensive pillar and top power-play quarterback for the rest of the foreseeable future.
