The move is retroactive to Dec. 6, so Guentzel is technically eligible to return for Pittsburgh's next game Tuesday against Montreal. That said, coach Mike Sullivan said Wednesday that the 27-year-old is week-to-week with his upper-body injury, so he doesn't figure to return so soon. Guentzel's excellent start to 2021 has been highlighted by 15 goals and 27 points, both of which lead the Penguins.
