Lack gave up five goals on 30 shots and ended up being pulled with about 10 minutes remaining in the third period Thursday in a loss to the Jackets. After a scoreless first period, Lack was staked to a 2-0 lead early in the second, and then he went to work giving it back. The Jackets scored five unanswered goals on him in less than 22 minutes of game action before he got yanked for Jacob Markstrom with the game already well out of hand. Lack hadn't had an implosion like this since giving up five goals in consecutive games Feb. 26 and March 1 -- and had in fact given up only five goals, total, in his last three starts -- but his lack of consistency is maddening for fantasy owners.
