Labanc was recalled from the San Jose Barracuda of the AHL on Tuesday.

With fellow Shark Michael Haley being handed a one-game suspension Monday, the addition of Labanc will provide some added depth for the team. Labanc has already skated in 49 games for the Sharks in 2016-17, recording 19 points. Ahead of Tuesday's contest with the Rangers, head coach Peter DeBoer noted that his lineup would be decided at game time, so it's unclear if Labanc will see the ice during his recall.
