Kyle Okposo recorded a Gordie Howe hat trick and scored the shootout winner to lead the Islanders to a 4-3 win against Philadelphia on Monday afternoon. He earned an assist on a power-play goal by John Tavares and he sent the game into overtime with a power-play marker of his own late in the third period. Okposo reached 20 goals for the second time in his career and he has 49 points in 50 games this year. He also dropped the gloves with Flyers defenseman Braydon Coburn in the first frame. Brock Nelson had the team's other goal in the contest.
