Kyle Okposo notched a goal and an assist as the Islanders defeated the lowly Sabres 4-1 on Saturday night. Perhaps Okposo isn't just the product of playing with world-class center John Tavares. Okposo is still piling up points even without Tavares in the lineup, with them in four straight tilts. Altogether, the winger has 27 goals and 42 assists on the season. Ryan Strome, Frans Nielsen and Cal Clutterbuck picked up the other markers, while Lubomir Visnovsky set up three goals. Matt Carkner had seven penalty minutes.
