Kulikov (lower body) will not suit up Sunday against Edmonton, but could be available during the Sabres' four-game road-trip, Mike Harrington of the Buffalo News reports.

Kulikov's debut for Buffalo will have to wait at least one more game and the Sabres may decide to recall an additional defenseman from AHL Rochester in order to boost their depth on the blue line. In terms of on ice minutes, Casey Nelson figures to be Kulikov's replacement while the 25-year-old is sidelined. If he can get healthy, Kulikov offers decent mid-range value especially in ancillary categories like hits and blocked shots.
