Kronwall (knee) will return to the lineup Friday night against the visiting Jets, Helene St. James of the Detroit Free Press reports.

EDGE Analysis

A previous report indicated that Kronwall wouldn't be ready until next week, but evidently he's made enough progress in his rehab to give it a go Friday. The hard-hitting veteran has been bothered by knee injuries since last January, so we expect him to be eased into the lineup. Currently, we're projecting him to slot on the third pair with Brendan Smith, and it's widely believed that he'll get time on the power play should the opportunity present itself.
