Kreider was ejected for a hit on Minnesota's Jonas Brodin near the end of the first period of Monday's 5-4 win. While the hit was much more incidental than teammate John Moore's hit on Erik Haula, Kreider still gave Brodin a dangerous shove as the two neared the center boards at a decent speed for puck possession. Since Kreider is beginning to earn a reputation as a bit reckless with size, it's very possible he could receive a one-to-two game suspension from new discipline czar Stephane Quintal. The 23-year-old first line winger has six points (two goals) and is a plus-4 with 38 penalty minutes through nine games played this season.
