Kreider picked up an assist and three shots in Wednesday's season-opening victory against the Blackhawks.

Kreider almost had a goal to seal the game, as he used a beautiful move to beat a defender one-on-one and used his great speed to create an opportunity, but missed the shot wide. Still, despite being a guy who has a reputation for turning invisible in some games, Kreider was very noticeable in this one. His second-line combo with Kevin Hayes and Derek Stepan has good chemistry and should be quite productive in the season to come.
