Chabot (undisclosed) was removed from Sunday's 4-1 win over the Capitals in the third period for what coach D.J. Smith called "precautionary reasons," Ian Mendes of TSN 1200 Ottawa reports.
EDGE Analysis
The defenseman took a big, if clean, hit from Tom Wilson early in the third that wound up knocking him from the game, but as yet there's been no indication from the Senators that Chabot might miss additional time. He's been held without a point in his last four games, but Chabot still has three goals and 24 points through 45 contests on the season.
