Tierney found the back of the net twice in the second period, turning a 1-1 deadlock into a two-goal Ottawa lead. His first came midway through the frame when Shane Pinto chipped the puck toward the front of the net and it ricocheted off Tierney's body and past Dallas goalie Anton Khudobin.
