Kevin Poulin turned aside 21 of 23 shots in a 5-2 victory over the Hurricanes Tuesday. Poulin was recalled by the Islanders on Monday and played well when pressed into action tonight. His long-term status with the club is obviously dependent on the health of the team's other two netminders.
