Jordan Eberle has been selected as an alternate captain. "You look around the room and we've got a lot of leaders in here. There are a lot of options," Eberle said. "So, obviously, it's an honor to be named an (alternate) captain. At the same time, I think the only way we're going to succeed is if everyone takes over a role and everyone's a leader in here. That's going to be important" Eberle served as an assistant captain with the AHL Oklahoma City Barons during the lockout. He's entering his third NHL campaign.
