Jonathan Toews missed Friday's scrimmage due to a lower-body injury. Toews still practiced on Friday and Blackhawks coach Joel Quenneville said he was kept out of the scrimmage for precautionary reasons. "It's not serious," Quenneville explained. "We'll see how he is (Saturday) and maybe give him a couple of days off the ice. I think it was kind of bugging him before but he went through everything (Thursday) and (Friday) and felt not bad but we said, 'let's be smart about it.'" It's not surprising that the Blackhawks would err heavily on the side of caution in training camp.
