Jonathan Toews left Saturday night's 5-2 loss to the Predators in the second period due to an upper-body injury. Toews will be re-evaluated Monday as the Blackhawks are off on Sunday. Unofficially, it looks as if the injury is to Toews' left wrist or hand. For now the Hawks are saying their captain should be considered day-to-day, and for those relying on the talented Toews, we hope that is the case. There is a very good chance that Toews will not play again until after the All-Star break as there is no reason to rush him back when he can benefit from an eight-day respite.
