Trineyev notched two goals and 13 points in 39 games with Moscow Dynamo of the KHL during the 2022-23 season. He also contributed two assists in five playoff contests. The Capitals selected the 21-year-old forward in the fourth round of the 2020 NHL Entry Draft.
