John Mitchell will move to play with Paul Stastny and David Jones on Wednesday night. The Avalanche have been forced to change up their combinations with captain Gabriel Landeskog and plugger Steve Downie sidelined due to injury. "Just shake it up a little bit and see what happens," coach Joe Sacco said. "Stastny and Jones, I have high hopes for those guys. They had a real good season last year together and I expect them to pick it up here very shortly." Mitchell, who is playing in his first season with the Avalanche, currently has two goals in five games.
