John Mitchell (back) isn't likely to return on Thursday. Mitchell will miss his third straight game on Tuesday. The good news is that he shouldn't be out too much longer. Although the odds of him playing Thursday aren't in Mitchell's favor, Avalanche coach Patrick Roy thinks he might be back on Saturday.
