John Gibson set aside 28 shots as the Ducks topped the Kings in Game 4 of their second-round series 2-0 on Saturday night. Ducks coach Bruce Boudreau, with Frederik Andersen injured, made the surprising choice to go with the rookie over veteran Jonas Hiller for his first playoff start -- and first start period since April 13. All the 20-year-old did was stand on his head for much of the game in recording his second NHL shutout. It was simply a sensational performance for Gibson, who showed great poise on the road and was positionally sound throughout. The series is now tied at two apiece, and it will shift to Anaheim for Game 5 on Monday. Gibson, who in three regular-season starts had a 1.33 goals-against average and .954 save percentage, figures to be between the pipes then.
