Johan Hedberg made 16 saves as he shutout the New York Islanders 1-0 on Friday. Hedberg has looked solid in the preseason and should play a key role as Martin Brodeur's backup. Rick DiPietro did a good job at the other end finishing with 20 saves on 21 shots. David Clarkson scored the only goal of the game, assisted by Peter Harrold and Adam Henrique.
