Johan Franzen won't play Wednesday night because of a hip flexor injury. He is being listed as day-to-day. Justin Abdelkader will move up into Detroit's top-six forward group in his place. Franzen has gone without a point in his past three games, but he does have three goals and six assists in 12 contests.
