Johan Franzen has been turning down media requests during the playoffs and that's come as a surprise to Red Wings coach Mike Babcock. "To me, if you just step right up and just talk, it makes it easy," Babcock said. "But when you don't, things build and then I think that puts more pressure on yourself. I don't know why you do that." Babcock went on to suggest that Franzen should have the hard interview to get it over with. Detroit is down 3-1 in its first round series against Boston and Franzen has no goals and one assist in the series.
