Joey MacDonald won his fifth consecutive game as Detroit's backup goaltender stopped 20 shots in the Red Wings' 2-1 victory over the visiting Nashville Predators. MacDonald has been excellent filling in for injured all-star goaltender Jimmy Howard (broken finger).
