Joey MacDonald will be Detroit's starting goaltender on Monday. MacDonald is getting a chance to prove himself after an impressive outing on Saturday. After Ty Conklin was pulled from the contest, MacDonald stopped 22 of 23 shots to help Detroit salvage a point. MacDonald and Conklin are expected to battle for playing time while Jimmy Howard (finger) is sidelined.
