Joey MacDonald helped the Detroit Red Wings extend their home winning streak to 23 games as they edged the San Jose Sharks 3-2. MacDonald has been a legitimate contributor to the streak, winning six games in a row himself. It wouldn't be surprising if he ends up sticking with Detroit once Jimmy Howard returns, but Howard's workhorse tendencies will likely leave MacDonald irrelevant either way.
